Waveney Mill Penne Pasta PASTA

Penne Pasta
Case size = 10 units per case

As Britain’s favourite pasta shape, penne comes from the Italian word for ‘quill’. This classic, iconic yet versatile pasta shape is one of just a handful of pasta shapes with a heritage. In 1865, Giovanni Battista Capurro, a pasta-maker from San Martino d’Albaro (Genoa), obtained a patent for a diagonal cutting machine that would allow fresh pasta to be cut at an angle without crushing it.

With a perfect al dente texture and its large surface area, our penne pasta has plenty of room for sauce in its tubes. As well as being small enough to plunge into the creamiest sauces, the culmination of years of tradition and the milling of finest British pasta means our bronze die cut penne will not disappoint.
